Meet Coach Jo Haskin, CLC

Jo Haskin is a Certified Life and Grief Coach and Emmy-nominated Producer who blends two decades of film and television storytelling with coaching. Drawing on her background managing multi-million-dollar productions and sensitive, real-life narratives, she helps clients navigate life’s transitions, loss, and renewal with clarity, compassion, and grounded strategy.

Throughout her life and career as a producer, Jo has navigated constant transitions, seasons of uncertainty, and profound experiences of loss—including the deaths of her younger sister, Janel, her dad, Earl, as well as grandparents, great-grandparents, dear friends, and beloved pets. These lived experiences, combined with her own healing work in individual and group therapy, allow her to hold space for clients with deep empathy, non-judgment, and respect for the many ways grief shows up across a lifetime.

Jo has been supporting others through listening, guidance, and care for most of her life. Her path began at age 16 as a camp counselor, girls’ softball coach, and umpire and continued with formal peer counseling training during high school. She earned a degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University, with a strong foundation in psychology, and later served as a Camp Fire Leader, mentoring teenage girls. Over the years, she has naturally become a trusted source of support for employees, colleagues, family, and friends as someone others turn to during moments of transition and uncertainty.

Jo is most proud of her 30-plus-year marriage to her husband, Kevin, whom she met while still in high school. Now in their third decade together, they are settled in their third home with their third dog, Desilu. Their life has been shaped by shared goals, experiences and laughter —building businesses, living at the beach in Los Angeles for twelve years, pursuing careers in film and television, traveling, and, above all, valuing time with each other and loved ones.

In addition to her work with clients, Jo is currently producing a documentary exploring mental health and equine-assisted therapy, highlighting the power of connection, support, and healing.

Her coaching practice and creative work share the same mission: to create safe spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to write the next chapter of their story.

Testimonials

My coaching experience with Jo Haskin has been incredibly clarifying, calming, and empowering. Her presence and thoughtful listening help to reveal pivotal aspects of issues I bring to our sessions that we can then explore to help me find my way forward when I'm feeling wary, worried, or stuck. She asks insightful questions that allow me to consider new approaches rather than falling into the habit of old routines. I feel that her compassionate manner and ability to set the tone for a calm, productive session will benefit anyone navigating life transitions or emotional challenges. I highly recommend her as a heart-centered source of guidance and support.

I’ve known Jo for many years, and she is by far the person I’d hire if I were looking for a life coach. I’ve often looked at her life and compared my own pursuits to hers, asking if I’m even coming close to living my ideal, “as Jo does.” She has an uncanny ability to see where someone is and guide them to where they want to be with kindness and compassion, in the most grounded way. Jo knows how to achieve dreams in the real world.
